I currently use this with my GH4 with a 14-140 panasonic lens on it. I use this head on my camera arm mount that straps to the tree. Works great!! This is an excellent tripod head for the price. It's extremely smooth and easy to use. The threading fits perfectly. Lightweight and sturdy, most importantly, it is compatible with arca type plate.All around this is a very fine and well made head for the price.

Its perfectly smooth tilt movements. It's super heavy duty, can hold up 5.5lbs comfortably, have adjustable counterbalance and drag/tilt controls and best of all an illuminated bubble level at this price range!extendable handle gives you good control esp. if you mount it significantly higher or lower than a comfortable height. This is perfect for the serious filmmaker on a budget. I hope this is of help to those novices, like me, who plan to have lots of fun with them!

It's amazing at tilting, decent at panning (remember it's a friction pan and not a fluid cartridge pan) and the arm is reversible and adjustable in length. I must admit while this doesn't have a $1k panning ability, it DOES have a feature set worth $1k for literally a fraction of the cost. This is perfect for the serious filmmaker on a budget, you will not find a better head I guarantee it. Go ahead look around. I personally support them and think thats wonderful.

If you have any interest in ease of control when taking photos or video, this component is a perfect addition to a great tripod.I bought this fluid head to use with my Sony NEX-7. Given the small weight and size of the camera,the whole point of getting the NEX-7 was to reduce weight as I travel. Price, weight, size are just about right.

I own the S4 monopod and was looking at getting another S4 head for my tripod. This head is amazing.. I had, very good quality and very light and portable. nice drag on pans and tilts,extendable handle gives you good control esp. if you mount it significantly higher or lower than a comfortable height, last but not least price for both the head and the plates which cost 1/3 of the Manfrotto plates.
